Universal’s SSNsight™ product works in conjunction with the Social Security Address/Alias Trace to identify applicants who may be using illegitimate or stolen social security numbers.

The Social Security Trace with SSNsight™ Validation first determines an association between an applicant’s name and social security number, as well as additional names affiliated with the SSN and an address history compiled from a variety of sources. Then, SSNsight identifies the state and year of issue for an applicant’s social security number. Finally, unlike a standalone trace product, SSNsight includes a search of the Social Security Administration’s Death Master Index to determine if death benefits have been paid for the SSN provided.
