Universal Background Screening Obtains Technical Certification from the HR-XML Consortium.
Universal Background Screening announced today that the company’s Universal Web Services.NET™ platform has been certified by the HR-XML Consortium’s HRcertify program.
The HR-XML Consortium develops and publishes data exchange standards that allow organizations to reduce the time and expense required to implement an integrated HR solution. These standards provide a common language for companies to exchange data without having to establish, engineer, and implement many separate interchange mechanisms and data formats.
“We congratulate Universal Background Screening for achieving HR-XML Consortium certification,” said Romuald Restout, HR-XML Consortium President. “Compliance with open standards has become an important factor in the procurement of HR and background screening solutions for forward-thinking Human Resource organizations. Universal Background Screening’s adherence and certification to these standards demonstrates that it is a technology leader and is ready to integrate in a flexible manner with customers and partners,” Restout remarked.
Universal Background Screening is an Executive Member of the HR-XML Consortium and one of only sixteen background screening companies to be awarded the certification. The company’s certified solution also joins the ranks of market-leading Human Resources and Applicant Tracking software providers, including Kenexa/BrassRing, Kronos, Lawson, Oracle, Peopleclick, Taleo and Unicru.
“Universal Background Screening is honored to be among this elite group of HR-XML certified software and service providers,” said Ryan Krostue, Chief Executive Officer of Universal Background Screening. “With over 70 successful XML integrations in production, our customers have benefited from a more efficient ordering process, improved accuracy and decreased turnaround time. We look forward to expanding these integrated solutions with customers and partners who share our commitment to the HR-XML standards.”
Universal Web Services.NET empowers the company’s clients and partners to automate the background screening process by transmitting background check requests in a secure, automated fashion. Depending on client needs, the request may contain all necessary data to initiate an order. Or, Universal may automatically append the order to include additional components, such as criminal searches in locations based on a Social Security Trace. Alternatively, the data can be stored in a “draft” format that allows the user to modify and then submit the background check order through Universal’s web-based application.
Upon completion of a background check request, Universal Web Services.NET returns an HR-XML compliant report to the client’s Web Service in either a summary or detailed format. Users may also choose to receive real-time order status notifications via email or text message.
Universal Web Sevices.NET supports the following services: Social Security Address/Alias Trace and SSNsight Validation; Criminal and Civil Court Searches in local, County, State and Federal jurisdictions; Credit Reports; Driving Records (MVR); Employment, Education, Reference and Professional License/Certification Verifications; USA CriminalSearch, USA OffenderSearch and USA SecuritySearch databases; OFAC, HHS OIG and GSA EPLS sanction checks; Drug Screening/Occupational Health, Worker’s Compensation and Employee Exit Interviews.
