Oral Drug Testing
The oral drug testing system offered by Universal Background Screening provides FDA-approved laboratory accuracy with quicker, easier collection
Maximizes productivity and improves convenience
Oral drug testing allows employers to hire new employees faster, and minimizes lost work time for testing of current employees. Oral fluid collection is done on-site, eliminating the need for applicants or employees to travel to a laboratory collection site. In addition to convenience, oral fluid collection is non-invasive, preserving donor dignity. Collection can be done virtually anytime, anywhere.
Laboratory accuracy while eliminating tampering
Since the oral fluid collection is directly observed, there is little possibility of tampering or adulteration that is common among urine samples. A strict chain of custody process also maintains the validity of the sample provided. The scientific methods used to test oral fluids are comparable to urine testing, and all testing is conducted by a SAMHSA certified laboratory in accordance with government and industry guidelines.
Simple collection process takes only minutes
Unlike on-site urine collection which requires employers to handle potentially hazardous bodily fluids, oral fluid collection is simple and sanitary. The donor places a collection device similar to a cotton swab into his or her mouth for about 3 minutes. The device is inserted into a vial included with the kit, and then sealed to prevent tampering. The specimen vial, along with the chain of custody form, is placed into a special shipment bag and delivered to the laboratory via overnight courier.
Convenient Online Report Management
Results for negative test results are typically available within one business day. Universal Background Screening simplifies the management of drug test results by delivering reports via our secure, web-based report management system. Clients can choose to consolidate their background screening and drug testing reports into one account, or maintain separate accounts based on their own policies or billing requirements.
